In 1992, Jan Painter, a renowned national and international prophetess from Louisville Kentucky and affiliated with Christian International, gave a prophetic word to Dr. Gay. She had spoken the Word of the Lord stating that Dr. Gay would once again pastor. The prophetic word also indicated that this would be a different church than what he had experienced previously, as this would consist of a multi-cultural, multi-racial congregation.

Acts Ministries Inc. was birth out of an outreach ministry called The Second Chapter of Acts, which was started in 1994. This is when he began to experience God sending the people from various racial and cultural backgrounds.

On October 6, 1996, we began our 3 months of preparation and consecration with my family and friends of the family: Through much praying, fasting and confirmation by the Apostolic, Prophetic Presbytery, it released us in perfect timing of the Lord. Meetings were held every Sunday in a local beauty shop owned and operated by one of our Elders.

Acts Ministries’ first worship service to the public was formally conducted January 5, 1997, at the Dundee Community Center in Dundee, Florida. Several months later we moved to Burns Lane in Winter Haven, Florida. We are presently residing at 3150 Dundee Rd., Winter Haven, Florida where the Lord is continually blessing us.
